People like to be around someone who makes them laugh and smile. This World is filled with negativity. You switch on the TV and watch the news to get negative about the future and worry about your city, country or about some other nation.
Problems, illnesses in a family, street crimes, the on-going noise from newspapers and tv creates enough disruption for people to feel negative and worried.
Be that type of person who brings positivity and smiles on people’s face. When you see your customer, be “solution” oriented and fun, say “yes” to opportunities, and say “yes” to things you are asked for. The customer asks you for an extra service or additional feature. Be willing to say yes if you can. Prove to him you will do your best to help him. Say “Yes, Sir, I will aim to achieve that for you”. “Yes sir, I will call the office now and ask about this option for you”.
Aim to be the most positive person you can find.
Negativity is everywhere and it sticks to people. When your customer sees you as a positive spark in his day, he will be more willing to pay for your products and services.
You can make mistakes in life and people won’t crush you if you stay upbeat and positive.
If you make mistakes, and you have bad attitude and are miserable, you will surely suffer from it.
Do not allow yourself to be miserable and down. If you have a lot of on-going problems, change your attitude to a positive one and take action. Solve your problems and be able to solve those for your customer. Be the sunshine on the street, shine as you walk in the office, give your customer a positive hand shake, let him/her know that you are happy to see him/her.
That’s what makes for a great start of a sale. Start it on the right note, and finish it off with confidence and persistence.
